We’re a growing company with a dynamic environment. One of the only constants around here is that things change (and change often).

 

From a practical point of view, you have to be comfortable with:

 

  • Creating layouts, color palettes, user interface elements, icons, prototypes and project documentation

 

  • Illustrating user flows through the experience (tree level view), which collectively provide a map of the experience (forest for the trees view)

 

  • Generating prototypes (lo fidelity wireframes, hi fidelity comps, html, flash, paper) that communicate the total (or discrete parts) of the experience

 

  • Communicating the intention of your design recommendations in ways other than written use cases

 

  • Demonstrating expert proficiency in the tools of your trade.

 

We’ll take it for granted that as a seasoned visual designer, you’re familiar with stuff like Photoshop and Illustrator and Fireworks and Visio or Omnigraffle.
