Build Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management assistance and configuration within multiple environments
    • Automating deployment of builds
  • Develop Software Tools (during release):
    • build and maintain
    • automated testing
    • consistent integration
    • release management with GIT
    • improvements and support
  • Collaborate with multiple teams:  Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers
  • Release Process:
    • own, manage and improve
    • scale and efficiency

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Computer Science BS degree or equivalent experience
  • SW engineering, release engineering/configuration management (3+ years)
  • Software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems
  • Subversion and Git (highly prefered)
  • Expert with Unix/Linux
  • Perl, python, and/or bash
  • Build/dependency management
  • Integration tools
  • Ant, Ivy and Hudson (preferred)
  • PHP and/or Java applications/building
  • Automating build/release processes
  • Deploying web applications to a product
  • Automated testing (preferred)
  • Plan the development of test software systems
  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with complex applications, understanding their interactions with other installed products, and how they operate within an overall system.
