Our Client is a rapidly growing Analytics/Software Boutique Startup Company in the Automotive Industry.  The environment is driven by success and results in a collaborative effort.  The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, providing the luxury of beer on tap (seriously).

Diverse data spanning the Automotive Industry is integrated into projects and applied to help solve problems with consumers, companies, and dealers.  The company is doubling every year and their data warehouse is becoming more complex.  The need for a Data Management Guru is a crucial role needed on the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform as Technology Lead
  • Apply the best semantic checks and structure to data
  • Build agile management/production release process for data
  • Develop internal agile data management processes with customers
  • Maintain dozens of data sources (some data sources may be low quality)
  • Scale data warehouse with growth of data
  • Import schedules/processes
  • Innovate a novel approach to ETL
  • Enhance (build/buy) toolsets and technology platform

REQUIREMENTS

  • Successful track record in using diverse technologies/approaches to manage data in an extremely dynamic environment
  • SQL Server, Oracle, bash, Perl, Python, SQL, Informatica, etc.
  • ETL concepts
  • Programming, algorithmic thinking, and automated testing
  • CS BA (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 + years managing complex data
    • (Significantly more compensation is available for those with deeper experience.)
