Our client is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions company, providing secure electronic payments to their customers.  The Technical Project Manager will manage long-term projects with software development teams in order to deliver new functional products.  This is the ideal opportunity for a strong manager with a technical background and the desire to work for a growing startup company in Downtown Austin.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of about 10 Software Engineers
  • Full life-cycle SaaS product development for several long-term projects by use of Agile/Waterfall
  • Maintain quality standards (code conventions, unit testing, static analysis, revision control)
  • Ensure product/system testing/functionality
    • Communicate with QA teams: recommend improvements for process/tools/product
  • Project Management (planning/scheduling) for deliverables
    • Communicate with SaaS/support teams
  • Software Release Process (definition/deployment/delivery)
  • Project status reports/presentations
  • Conduct staff training and annual employee reports/reviews

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Software Project Management (6+ years)
    • developing products, web apps, or services
    • external customer experience
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) multi-tenant concepts
  • Cross-Team Management
    • Windows .NET and Linux platforms with C# and C++
  • Agile/Waterfall
  • MS Project and/or project management tools
  • PMP Certification
  • Web app security
  • Structured/object-oriented design
  • Databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring, debugging, and configuration management
  • Financial services/ERP industry (preferred)
  • CS/related-field Degree or equivalent experience
